Experience advanced high availability (HA) with Non-Stop Forwarding (NSF) virtual chassis architectures. In the event of a master switch failure, hitless failover ensures that a standby switch takes over, with the forwarding engine continuing to transmit traffic on operational stack members without service interruption. Dual redundant, modular power supplies in full-width models further enhance business continuity.


The M4300 series offers exceptional flexibility, allowing for mixed stacking of 10 Gigabit and 1 Gigabit models using any 10G port with any media type, including RJ45, SFP+, and DAC cables. Two half-width M4300 switches can be combined in a single rack unit for redundant Top of Rack installations, complete with Auto-iSCSI prioritization. All 10 Gigabit ports are independent and backward compatible with 1G speeds, facilitating a gradual transition to 10G.


Complexity is reduced with a comprehensive feature set that includes L2 switching (multi-layered access control) and L3 routing (static, RIP, OSPF, VRRP, PIM, PBR), all available without additional licensing.
