The Samsung S95D is a television utilizing Samsung's latest QD OLED technology, which combines quantum dots and an OLED panel to produce extremely bright HDR images with extreme contrast. The TV features dual tuners for high-definition broadcasts: DVB-T2, DVB-S2, and DVB-C HD along with a CI+ interface for pay-TV cards.

Compared to lower series, the S95D offers a uniformly thin, gallery-like Infinity One design, a One Connect interface unit, a brighter QD-OLED panel, more powerful speakers, and a matte Anti-Glare coating.

Quantum Dot OLED (QD OLED) technology enables exceptionally bright details by utilizing the light processing of quantum dots. The self-illuminating pixels of the OLED panel allow for even complete local dimming in darker scenes. These two technologies combined produce unprecedented brightness even in the darkest scenes. The Neural Quantum Processor 4K uses AI and deep learning algorithms to adapt brightness and contrast even better than before. The Gen 2 processor includes updated 4K AI upscaling and Perceptional Color Mapping technology, which improve color processing in 2024 models.

The OLED panel combined with a specially coated Anti-Glare surface allows for watching movies from any viewing angle, while simultaneously dispersing external light sources. The redesigned Anti-Glare is significantly more effective than previous Anti-reflection coatings.

Samsung's One Connect allows only one thin, inconspicuous cable to run to the television. Peripherals are connected to the included One Connect unit, thus saving the visual appearance from unnecessary cable clutter.
