With the Wiser phone application, users can implement convenient scene controls, set schedules, or create automations based on factors like weather changes. The devices within the Wiser system communicate with each other, allowing home functions to be automated seamlessly without constant user attention. The system supports both standard wired installations and wireless setups, depending on the specific device.

This central unit is crucial for establishing a certified Zigbee 3.0 mesh network within your home, serving as the hub to which all other Wiser devices connect. It also maintains a connection to Schneider Electric's secure cloud service, providing safe remote access and enabling notifications when you are away from home.

For optimal performance, the central unit should be positioned in an open and central location. While every mains-powered Wiser device acts as a message router to ensure an extensive and reliable system, strategic placement of the central unit is still beneficial. It can be connected to your home's broadband via a network cable (RJ45, not included) or through a Wi-Fi connection.

The device offers versatile installation options: it can be mounted in a standard flush box with an installation depth of 24 mm, directly on a wall, or simply placed freestanding on a table.

Powering the Wiser Central Unit is flexible, with two main options: it can be powered by 230V using the included adapter and USB cable, or by 12VDC/0.5A connected directly to the device's cable terminals (note that the transformer for this option is not included).
